Robot Child – Gold Sharks – IDJ Review

Kent imprint Sideways Recordings continues effortlessly from where it left off on its last release, Keydin`s Different Motion EP, with another sun-drenched cut of house music. Operating with a tight-knit group of favoured artists, their latest comes from a collaboration between Episodes and The Spescialist. Episodes is the solo work of John Ashman, one half of Sonicvisions (alonside Sideways co-founder Wesley Burden) and he teams up with Beka Smith – aka The Spescialist – for Melting Soul.

Sideways Recordings may only be in its infancy but two releases in and it`s showing much promise. Hailing from Kent, it`s the brainchild of Wesley Burden and David Decker, and the second single comes from Keydin, Wesley`s production moniker. Both veterans of the music scene, Burden`s DJing career as Sonicvisions carried him through years of electronic dedication, and producing full time then alongside graphic design work, Sideways recordings was born in 2008.
