Sideways. Who Are We?

We are an underground house and techno label based in the South East corner of the UK currently in our fourth year. We evolved from a group of like minded DJs, promoters and producers who together have supplied the underground entertainment in our area for the last twenty years.
A platform for new emerging talent, we started locally but this soon expanded with remixes and signings from further afield. We are serious about music. We do what we do because we love it and we believe in older values. Every release is mastered properly whether it’s digital or vinyl by Chris Alexander @ Full Range in Brighton.

We aren’t big or clever, we jump up and down at parties just like you.
There are radio shows, mixes and tracks to download. Check out the site.
If you’re a producer or dj yourself or just enjoy dancing, drop us a line….

Robot Child – Dusty Hi / Link – Reviews

Ibiza Voice LogoIbiza Voice

Tim Green is a production force to be reckoned with these days having released material on Dirtybird, Get Physical, and Cocoon among others. On his latest for UK indie Sideways he dons his Robot Child moniker and gets super deep with exquisite melodies and some crystal clear bass tones courtesy of his recently acquired Juno.

This Is Why We Dance

Both tracks come from that place where house and techno collide, and on both Dusty Hi and Link they collide in a very satisfactory, bleepy, druggy, heads-down fashion. Though I think Dusty Hiwould be my fave if I had to pick, erring as it does more towards deep, proggy house whereas Link is more techy.

Keydin & Episodes – The Bomb – Out Now

Sideways-Keydin-&-Episodes-The-Bomb

The Bomb – a track that relies on it’s pure energy to hit the right spots. A pumping monster with a relentless driving kick throughout, and all the right programming to get the dancefloor going. Boom! Just watch out for those explosions!

Buzz Werner – Tech House as it should be, obviously made by someone who cares. Horn and organ stabs keep the house heads happy, whilst the underlying bass groove will have the tech bods unable to resist. And of course, a classic drop-down / build-up scenario executed effortlessly.

Buzz Werner (Elliot Wright & Scott Harrington Remix) – transforming Buzz Werner in to a nice slice of proper classy deep house. Lush keys and synths simmer away over the top of reliable punchy kicks & claps, gradually developing into a beautiful, melodic piece of modern music that most deep DJs will fall head over heels for.

Have a listen for yourself on our music page or at Beatport

Keydin & Episodes – The Bomb – 4Clubbers Review

Sideways-Keydin-&-Episodes-The-Bomb Sideways’ redoubtable march continues in July with a collaboration from two of its established artists. Following on from Thom Norton’s brilliant Worth It? in May, the Kent-based imprint’s seventh release sees label co-owner Wesley Burden in his Keydin guise team up with Episodes, who first surfaced on the label’s third release back in September last year alongside The Spescialist on Melting Soul.
